About

Bimmah Sinkhole, locally known as Hawiyat Najm (Falling Star Park), is a spectacular natural limestone sinkhole with clear turquoise waters located between the coastal towns of Dibab and Qurayyat. Legend has it that a meteorite created the hole, but it's actually formed by the collapse of a large underground limestone cave. This stunning natural wonder offers a unique opportunity for swimming in its inviting, cool waters. The depth varies, allowing for both shallow dips and deeper plunges. Small fish inhabit the water, offering a natural 'fish spa' experience. The site is well-maintained with picnic areas, restrooms, and steps leading down to the pool, making it a popular and refreshing stop on coastal tours. It's a short drive from Muscat and a must-visit for nature lovers.
