About

Debod Park, officially known as Parque del Cuartel de la Montaña, is a charming park located near Plaza de España, most famous for being the setting of the ancient Egyptian Temple of Debod. This green space provides a tranquil escape from the urban buzz of Madrid. The park offers beautiful landscaped gardens, shaded walkways, and grassy areas perfect for picnicking or simply relaxing. Its elevated position provides panoramic views of the city, including the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral, and the expansive Casa de Campo park in the distance. While the Temple of Debod is undoubtedly the park's centerpiece, drawing crowds especially at sunset for its spectacular views, the surrounding park itself is a delightful place to wander. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy nature, admire the ancient monument, and capture some memorable photographs of Madrid's skyline.
