About

The High Line is a 1.45-mile-long elevated linear park, greenway, and rail trail created on a former New York Central Railroad spur on the west side of Manhattan. It transformed an abandoned railway into a unique urban oasis. The park offers a beautiful escape from the city streets, featuring diverse plantings, public art installations, and unique perspectives of the urban landscape, including views of the Hudson River and city architecture. It stretches from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to 34th Street. It's a popular spot for leisurely strolls, people-watching, and enjoying outdoor art. The High Line is an exemplary model of urban renewal and sustainable design, offering a blend of nature and city life.
