About

Jurong Bird Park, established in 1971, was Asia's largest bird park and a prominent aviary showcasing a breathtaking diversity of avian species. It was home to thousands of birds across various habitats, including the colossal Waterfall Aviary – one of the world's largest walk-in aviaries, featuring a 30-meter high man-made waterfall. The park offered a range of interactive experiences, including daily feeding sessions where visitors could get up close with pelicans, penguins, and ostriches. Popular shows like 'High Flyers' and 'Kings of the Skies' amazed audiences with the intelligence and agility of various bird species, from macaws to birds of prey. Jurong Bird Park played a significant role in conservation efforts, including breeding programs for endangered species. While it has officially closed its doors in January 2023 to relocate to the new Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, its legacy as a cherished attraction for nature lovers and families remains.
