Karlskirche

Karlskirche, or St. Charles's Church, is a magnificent Baroque church in Vienna, dedicated to Saint Charles Borromeo. Designed by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach and completed by his son, it is considered one of Vienna's most outstanding examples of Baroque architecture. Its impressive dome, two large columns depicting scenes from the life of St. Charles Borromeo, and grand entrance make it a truly striking landmark. The interior of Karlskirche is equally breathtaking, adorned with lavish frescoes by Johann Michael Rottmayr and other prominent artists, intricate sculptures, and a stunning high altar.
