About

Parque das Nações (Park of Nations) is a vibrant and modern riverside district in eastern Lisbon, born from the site of Expo '98. This area underwent a massive urban regeneration project, transforming an industrial wasteland into a contemporary hub of leisure, entertainment, and modern living. The park boasts extensive green spaces, beautiful gardens, and a scenic riverside promenade perfect for walking, cycling, or simply enjoying the views of the Tagus River. Its striking contemporary architecture, including the impressive Gare do Oriente train station and the Vasco da Gama Tower, stands in stark contrast to Lisbon's historic center. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Parque das Nações offers numerous attractions, such as the Oceanário de Lisboa, the Pavilhão do Conhecimento (Science Centre), the Lisbon Arena, and a diverse selection of restaurants and shops. A ride on the Telecabine Lisboa (cable car) provides splendid aerial views of the entire area, making it a dynamic district offering something for everyone.
