Pedra do Sal is a historic site considered to be the birthplace of samba in Rio de Janeiro. This area in the Saúde neighborhood was once a slave market and a port where salt was unloaded. Today, it hosts vibrant samba rodas (samba circles) every Monday night, drawing crowds to dance, sing, and experience authentic Afro-Brazilian culture.
