About

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, often referred to simply as 'The Guggenheim,' is an iconic art museum located on Fifth Avenue along Museum Mile in Manhattan. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, its distinctive spiraling rotunda is a masterpiece of 20th-century architecture. The museum houses a superb collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern, and contemporary art, including works by Kandinsky, Picasso, Klee, and Miró. Visitors ascend via an elevator to the top and then descend a continuous, gently sloping ramp to view the art. Both the architecture and the art are major attractions. The unique design offers a distinctive way to experience the artworks. Check for current exhibitions as the museum regularly features special shows.
