About

Trinity College Dublin, Ireland's oldest university, was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. Its historic campus is an oasis of calm in the city center, characterized by beautiful Georgian architecture and expansive courtyards. The college has educated many prominent figures in Irish and international history. The most famous attraction within Trinity College is the Old Library, home to the magnificent Long Room, which houses thousands of ancient texts and manuscripts. The star exhibit is the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript Gospel book in Latin, containing the four Gospels of the New Testament, created by Celtic monks around 800 AD. Pre-booking tickets for the Book of Kells is highly recommended.
