About

The Berlin TV Tower (Fernsehturm) is an iconic landmark dominating the city skyline. Standing at 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany and offers unparalleled 360-degree views of Berlin and its surrounding areas from its observation deck, located at 203 meters. Visitors can ascend to the top in just 40 seconds thanks to high-speed lifts. Above the observation deck, at 207 meters, is the Sphere Restaurant, a revolving restaurant that completes a full rotation every 30 minutes, allowing diners to enjoy changing perspectives of the city while they eat. The tower was constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) and was intended as a symbol of socialist power and engineering. Today, it stands as a unified symbol of Berlin and attracts over a million visitors annually, making it one of the most popular attractions in the city.
