About

The Astronomical Clock, located on the Old Town Hall in Old Town Square, is an intricate medieval clock famous for its hourly mechanical show. Installed in 1410, it is the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still operating. Every hour, between 9 AM and 11 PM, the clock's mechanical figures, including the 'Walk of the Apostles,' come to life, attracting crowds of onlookers. The clock's face displays various astronomical and calendrical information, making it a masterpiece of medieval science and craftsmanship. Beyond the hourly spectacle, the clock itself is a symbol of Prague's rich history and ingenuity, offering a fascinating glimpse into the city's past.
