Museum Kampa is a prominent contemporary art museum located on Kampa Island in Prague, Czech Republic. It is housed in the historic Sova's Mills, which underwent extensive reconstruction to create a modern exhibition space while preserving integral parts of the original architecture. The museum officially opened its doors in 2003, established by the Meda Mládková Foundation with the vision of showcasing modern Central European art.
The museum's core collection is largely based on the private collection of Meda Mládková, a renowned art collector who dedicated her life to promoting and preserving Central European art, especially during the communist era. It features an extensive collection of works by František Kupka, a pioneer of abstract art, and Otto Gutfreund, a significant Czech Cubist sculptor.
